THOUSANDS OF GALWAY STUDENTS TO MARCH IN DUBLIN

Date Published: 16-Nov-2011
Up to 2 thousand Galway students are venting their anger over the possible increase in college fees at a major protest in Dublin this afternoon.
NUI Galway and GMIT students boarded coaches in the city earlier to travel to Dublin for the national protest.
Students want the Labour party, and Education Minister Ruairí Quinn, to honour pre-election promises not to increase student registration fees and not to cut supports, like student grants.
