TD WANTS ANSWERS ON GALWAY EAST ROAD PROJECTS

A Galway East TD is demanding answers on the future of the planned Gort to Tuam motorway and the Tuam bypass.

Deputy Michael Kitt says that consideration has been given for the Gort to Athenry section only.

The Tuam bypass was earmarked six years ago.

Speaking in the Daíl this week, Minister of state at the Department of Transport Alan Kelly gave no commitment to the future of either roads project.
