TALKS UNSUCCESSFUL SO FAR TO SAVE IRISH LANGUAGE NEWSPAPER

Staff at Connemara based paper Foinse fear it's the end of the line for its publication.The funding contract for the country's only Irish language newspaper expires this week, and despite rescue talks last night, no agreement has been reached to ensure it's survival.Foras na Gaeilge currently holds a temporary contract for funding with Foinse.
