Spiddal gets set for ƒigse

It could be the property bargain of the decade – seven terraced houses and six sites for just €100,000!

Five years ago, just one of the houses in the development would have cost €180,000.

Receivers for Wheelmont Construction have ordered the auction of the properties at Lough na Corra in Williamstown as part of a firesale auction in Dublin next week.

It involves seven three-bed terraced homes, and a further six sites in the development, which have been set a maximum reserve price of €100,000 – that means the highest bid over this figure secures the entire lot.

The development is one of ten lots in Galway City and County which will go for auction at an Allsop Space firesale next Tuesday.

In Moycullen, four partially-built three-bed semis at Ballyquirke West are being sold by a receiver with a price-tag of €200,000.

Also going for auction is a three-bed detached property at the Clifden Glen holiday village just outside Clifden, which has a reserve of €40,000.

A five-bed detached house at The Lodge, on the grounds of the Shannon Oaks Hotel & Country Club is on the market with a price-tag of €80,000.

In Loughrea, the Turtle Pub on Dunkellin Street is being sold by a receiver for €85,000.
