There's been a slight improvement in the trolleys crisis at University Hospital Galway's A & E unit. A spokesperson for the HSE West told Galway Bay fm News that 23 emergency patients are without a bed at the moment. The waiting list of 23 is down from earlier reports from the Irish Nurses Organisation of 29 people waiting on trolleys. The number of people attending UHG's emergency unit has been high this week, with 22 people waiting on a bed yesterday, and a chaotic night in casualty.
