SIPTU SAYS STRIKE ACTION AT COCA COLA TUAM TO PROCEED

SIPTU says Coca Cola staff will proceed with strike action at the Tuam distribution centre from tomorrow[27/8] unless a resolution is reached.In a statement to Galway Bay Fm News, Coca Cola says it would like to re-engage with SIPTU as soon as possible to agree terms for transition and redundancy.However in a separate statement, SIPTU claims Coca Cola HBC has refused to discuss any alternative to the planned outsourcing of jobs.There are 27 staff working at the Tuam facility located on the Galway road.
