SHOW OF SUPPORT IN INVERIN FOR STRIKING WORKERS

A show of support for striking workers at a Gaeltacht development company is taking place this lunchtime.

Locals, friends and supporters of the workers at Meitheal Forbarthana na Gaeltachta Teo are demonstrating with staff outside the company's office in Inverin.

Workers at the company which has offices in Inverin and Rosmuc, have been on official strike for over a week.

SIPTU members claim four staff were made redundant without proper negotiations taking place.
