SEVERE OVERCROWDING AT UHG CASUALTY DEPARTMENT

There's severe overcrowding at the A&E department at University Hospital Galway this afternoon. According to figures from the Irish Nurses Organisation there are 32 people on trollies awaiting admission to the hospital from casualty.This is the highest number of people on trollies in any hospital in the country this afternoon, with the Mater Hospital in Dublin just behind, with 26 people waiting on trollies at the A&E.
