SECOND STAGE OF CITY'S TRANSPORT PLAN GETS GREEN LIGHT

City Councillors have voted in favour of the second stage of the City's Smarter Travel Bid.If successful, it could mean a €20m boost to improve the transportation infrastructure.The plan aims to create a radical shift from car to walking, cycling and public transport by 2015.It will see new bus and cycle lanes, more city centre pedestrian streets and an innovative electric car rental scheme.
