SEARCH RESUMES FOR MISSING FISHERMAN OFF CONNEMARA COAST
Date Published: 24-Apr-2012
An air search has resumed this morning [Apr 24] for a fisherman missing off the Connemara coast.
The alarm was raised when the local man, aged in his forties, failed to return to shore in his currach.
Concerns about the missing man were raised with the Valencia Coastguard at about twenty to eleven last night.
It's understood he had been checking lobster pots just north of Mace Head, off the Carna coast.
The North Aran lifeboat will join efforts to locate the man later this morning.
