A ground search for a missing Galway student is to resume at midday today.

32 year old Ralph Ryan, who is originally from Limerick, has been missing since Thursday, and has been living in the Westside of the city for the past year and a half.

Ralph Ryan is a student at the Galway Mayo Insititute of Technology.

He was last seen in the sea road area of Sathill at around 4pm on Thursday.

Gardai say a number of people have come forward with information since yesterday's public appeal and a number of follow-up enquiries are now being carried out.
