Savita's husband taking action against HSE
Galway Bay Fm Newsroom
Praveen Halappanavar is taking legal action against the HSE over his wife Savita's death.
Mrs Halappanavar died on October 28 last year at Galway University Hospital.
She was 17 weeks pregnant when she was admitted to the hospital a week earlier undergoing a miscarriage. She suffered from septicaemia.
Her widower has maintained that she repeatedly requested a termination but was refused because a foetal heartbeat was present.
His solicitors are understood to have filed documents to the High Court against HSE West and Dr Katherine Astbury - who was acting as his wife's obstetrician.
