SALTHILL DEVELOPER ORDERED TO REMOVE ACHILL ISLAND STRUCTURE

A Salthill based property developer has been ordered to tear down a Stonehenge type of structure on Achill Island.

The man behind 'Achill-Henge' is Joe McNamara.

He was previously arrested for driving a cement mixer up to Leinster House in protest at Anglo Irish Bank.

The High Court's ruled the building, which is described as an ornamental garden, is a flagrant breach of planning regulations.
