SAFETY TO BE IMPROVED AT WEST BRIDGE LOUGHREA

Safety at the dangerous West Bridge junction in Loughrea is set to be improved.Councillor Michael 'Mogie' Maher says he has been told by Director of Services with the County Council, John Morgan, that traffic lights will be installed there shortly.Work on installing traffic lights in Loughrea will begin in mid-February and will take 6 weeks to complete.Meanwhile, the County Council, in conjunction with the NRA will also install new safety bollards at all junctions on the Loughrea- Gort road.
