Rootsy Rock'n'Roll from Without George

WITHOUT George are an up-and-coming quartet whose planning to make a serious splash with their debut album. The current line-up of Mark Spellman (vocals/guitar), Johnny Holleran (guitar/vocals), Dave Concannon (drums/vocals) and Damien Mullin (bass) have been playing together for three years. Old friends Mark and Johnny have been writing songs together even longer."We started out ten years ago with the Tom Noone Experience," says Clonbur native Johnny."We were young lunatics then," recalls Mark who hails from nearby Cong. "Nothing's changed now, except the young part maybe! Then we'd a few other bands. Damien will claim he was overlookedseveral times as bass player he was like a roadie for a long time."Without George started recording their debut album The Year Of The Golden Pig in July of last year. The band went to Ceol Nua studios in Spiddal and are now eager to have their songs heard."It took an awful long time, much longer than we anticipated," says Mark.
