ROAD REOPENS AFTER FATAL CITY COLLISION

The renmore road in the city has re-opened following a fatal road collision.

A 73 year old man was struck by a motorcycle at around 6 30 last evening.

The victim, who is from the Renmore area, was taken to University Hospital Galway where he died of his injuries last night.

Gardaí have confirmed to Galway Bay FM that the road has now re-opened.

Gardaí are not seeking anyone in relation to the collision.

However they are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them at Milstreet Garda station.
