City Councillors are set to defy planners by voting to rezone a valuable city site part-owned by a fellow councillor.The site is at the Briarhill Shopping Centre on the outskirts of the city and if rezoned would double the size of the CentreFormer Mayor and Fine Gael Councillor Brian Walsh is a part owner of the 1 point 4 hectare site along with Galway millionaire property developer Liam MulryanAccording to Today's Irish Independent, the proposal to rezone it from residential to commercial is being fiercely opposed by the city planners
