REPORTS OF SWAN NETTING AT CLADDAGH QUAY
Date Published: 02-Nov-2012
The public is being urged to report any suspicious behaviour in Claddagh quay following recent accounts of attempts to net swans in the area.
The Galway and Claddagh Swan Rescue group has issued an appeal after a local resident spotted two men attempting to net swans in the slip-way in recent weeks.
The men fled the scene by car after they were disturbed, however only a partial registration was noted by the passerby.
The matter has been reported to gardai.
