RECEIVERS TAKE CONTROL OF STOCK AT CITY BASED FURNITURE CHAIN

Customers of Galway firm Curley's Furniture and Carpets Limited are being advised to contact the receiver with any deposit queries.

It's after Grant Thornton seized control of stock at the Ballybrit furniture chain which has now ceased trading.

The firm which has its headquarters in Briarhill also has stores in Craughwell, Sligo, Clare and Kilkenny.

The Briarhill and Ennis stores are closed today while the Kilkenny outlet closed a number of weeks ago.

The company has also ceased trading at its Craughwell and Sligo operations.

Grant Thornton has secured all stock under its control and customers with queries regarding deposits are advised to contact their Galway office on 091 - 53 39 24.
