PUBLIC MEETING TO MEET TUAM POLITICIANS

Date Published: 07-Jul-2009

Politicians elected for the Tuam area, nationally and locally, will be invited to a public meeting in Tuam in October. The suggestion of a public meeting came from Councillor Mary Loftus who said that many people don’t know who their elected representatives are.The newly elected Cllr Loftus was told by former Mayor Peter Warren that when a similar public meeting was held in Tuam at the height of the hospital campaign there were more people at the top table than in the audience!Cllr Sally Ann Flanagan said that if people again failed to attend the proposed public meeting with their politicians on Monday October 12th then that would be their loss.
