Over 100 people took part in last evening's information meeting on proposed changes to Tuam's traffic management plan.

The main concerns and submissions raised included the reduction of taxi spaces at shop street, disabled parking spaces and the traffic flow in and out of the town.

Part of the overall plan is to sychronise traffic lights to help prevent long delays.

Submissions to the traffic management plan can be made until the end of the month, and a final plan is expected to be drawn up in September.Mayor of Tuam Eamonn Kitt says the four hour meeting in Tuam was definately worthwhile
