PUBLIC MEETING IN OUGHTERARD ON SEPTIC TANK CHARGE

A large crowd is expected to attend a public meeting in Oughterard this evening [16/8] to discuss the proposed new septic tank inspection charge.

MEP Marian Harkin is organising the meetings throughout the constituency of Connaught / Ulster.

Last week, around 400 people attended a meeting in Kilconnell in East Galway to discuss the septic tank charge, which could be implemented in the next two months.

This evening's meeting starts at 7 o' clock at the Connemara Gateway Hotel in Oughterard.
