PUBLIC MEETING IN NEW INN TO DISCUSS LEGAL ACTION AGAINST N6 CONSTRUCTION

A public meeting to discuss a campaign of legal action for those affected by works along the route of the new N6 from Ballinasloe to Doughiska takes place this evening. (5/10)Around 200 claims have been lodged for compensation arising from damage caused by the construction, but only a few have been processed to date.The complaints centre on damage to local roads and private homes as well as major flooding problems on farm lands.The public meeting takes place in New Inn Community Centre at 9 o' clock tonight.
