PUBLIC MEETING IN LOUGHREA TO DISCUSS RECENT JOB LOSSES

Loughrea Chamber of Commerce is to hold a public meeting in the town this evening to discuss recent job losses.The Mayor of Loughrea has accused Galway County Council of 'crucifying' businesses in the town by not allowing parking on the main streets on Saturdays.Speaking at the monthly meeting of the Town Council, Mayor Gabriel Burke called on the County Council to allow free Saturday parking or else many concerns would be out of business by next year.A public meeting is to take place at O' Dea's Hotel at 6pm to discuss the impact of the recession on the town of Loughrea.
