PUBLIC MEETING ABOUT LACK OF FUNDING FOR N59

Date Published: 02-May-2008
The long running controversy about the state of the main Galway-Clifden- Leenane road - the N59- is to be discussed at a public meeting in Peacocks in Maam Cross tonight. The allocation of money for the N. 59 this year has been widely criticised with Minister Éamon Ó Cuív being amongst those who have challenged the National Roads Authority about the level of funding. The N59 is recognized nationally as the main route into Connemara.
