PROTESTS CONTINUE AT CLONMOYLAN RAISED BOG

A man was arrested last evening and has since been released as protests at the raised bog of Clonmoylan continue.
Up to 20 Garda vehicles gathered at the bog near Woodword last evening and Gardai and protestors remain at the scene this morning.
It's part of an ongoing operation into alleged illegal turf cutting at the raised bogland.
The operation is being carried out on behalf of the National Parks and Wildlife Service.
Last night, turf-cutting machinery was removed from the bog by Gardai.
A man was arrested after he attempted to block the removal of the machines.
He has since been released.
