PROSECUTION CASE CONCLUDES IN WASTE COMPANIES COMPETITION CASE

The prosecution case has closed in the trial of a Tuam waste company, 2 other waste companies and 5 individuals charged with sharing markets and customers in 2005.They're charged under the Competition Act relating to a tender for waste disposal for Mayo County Council in May 2005.Paul Gleeson and his company WERS Waste, and the other parties, are denying the charges at the Central Criminal Court sitting in Galway.The case resumes tomorrow.
