PROPOSAL TO SAVE CITY COUNCIL 600 THOUSAND A YEAR

Galway City Council could save over 600 thousand euro a year if new banking methods were adopted by all local authorities in the State.That's according to Fianna Fáil city west ward candidate, Peter Keane.He claims that significant savings would be made if all local authorities, joined together to have one banking facility.The proposed system is already used widely in Denmark as well as by large multinational companies such as Microsoft.
