PROGRESS IN NEW RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT CENTRE FOR THE DISABLED

Plans for a new contemporary residential service in Galway City for people with physical and sensory disabilities have progressed a step further.The new high support facility will be a specialized residential 12-bedded unit for people under 65.HSE West has now invited tenders and it's hoped that work will begin on developing the service before the end of this year. It's envisaged that the new facility will be used by people who have degenerative conditions, or by people who have experienced industrial or motor accidents resulting in high dependency needs.
