PROGRESS FOR LONG AWAITED MILLTOWN SEWERAGE SCHEME

Progress has been made in the long-awaited sewerage scheme for Milltown.Documents for the scheme have been sent by County Council officials today to the Department of the Environment. Cllr. Seán Canney, who raised the issue at the last County Council meeting, says that the Miltown sewerage scheme has been on the agenda for many years, being first requested in 1971.Cllr. Canney says this is a step in the right direction, and is now urging the Government to move ahead with the sewerage scheme for Milltown as soon as possible
