PRESIDENT HIGGINS ACCEPTS CIVIC RECEPTION INVITATION FROM COUNTY COUNCIL

President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins will attend a civic reception hosted by Galway County Council at the end of next month.

Mayor of County Gslway, Michael 'Mogie' Maher confirmed the details at this afternoon's meeting of the County Council.

The Council had extended an invitation to the President some weeks ago.

It's now been confirmed that President Higgins will attend the function at County Hall, Prospect Hill in the city on Friday February 24th.
