POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS FAKE CAR BRAKE PADS SEIZED IN GALWAY

Gardaí have uncovered a quantity of potentially dangerous counterfeit brake pads in Galway.

The brake pads, branded as Volkswagen, Seat, Skoda and Audi were seized at properties at various locations across Ireland, including Galway.

According to today's Irish Times, the pads were found to have 30 per cent less braking efficiency than genuine pads.
