PORTUMNA MEETING ON FUTURE PROMOTION OF LOUGH DERG AMENITY

Community members and tourism groups are invited to attend a public meeting in Portumna this evening [May 30] to discuss improving the Lough Derg amenity.

A signage audit has been completed by consultants URS Ireland, whose findings will be presented at two public gatherings.

The first meeting will be held in Portumna Town and Community Hall at 5 while the second will be held at the Lakeside Hotel in Killaloe at 8.

The report will highlight the benefit to tourism, of having appropriate signage, including orientation, interpretive, and information boards around Lough Derg.
