Portuguese Minister commends NUI Galway marine research efforts

Galway Bay fm newsroom – NUI Galway has been commended by a Portuguese Minister for its role in leading a major European marine research project. Manual Pinto says the EU Inter-Reg ‘Marnet' project will help measure economic activities such as maritime shipping, seafood processing and marine tourism. It brings together Marine Research Institutes and regional authorities across Atlantic regions to map the value of the marine economy to coastal regions. NUI Galway is leading the project in co-operation with the BMW National Assembly.
