PLANS UNDERWAY FOR MAJOR CITY CLEAN UP

There are plans for a major clean up of parts of the city.

Councillor Frank Fahy says volunteers and residents of Lisbrook House at the Headford Road roundabout, will clean up part of Terryland Forest Park on Saturday week, August 20th.

He says the City Council has also committed to clean up the roundabout at the Menlo Park Hotel.

It's after the Council prevented Councillor Fahy from doing it himself over health and safety concerns.

The County Council is carrying out a major clean up of the bog roads off the Curragh Line outside the city.

Councillor Fahy says local residents and volunteers plan to clean up one mile of a bog road between Carrowbrowne and Polkeen on Saturday September 3rd.
