Permission is also been sought for the setting aside of a condition attached to a previously approved planning decision concerning a creche. This condition required a creche to be provided onsite or in close proximity to the development. The applicant states that there are already 24 childcare facilities in the Oranmore catchment area and many have capacity. County planners are due to make a decision next month. Permission for the contruction of 68 houses in the estate was first granted in 2005 and has since been extended to November 2015.
