Plans have been lodged to transform a former hair salon in Oranmore into a vet clinic.
The project led by Ruth Harkin would be based at Oranpoint in the village centre, beside an existing pharmacy.
Until July this year, the unit had served as a hair salon for 17 years.
County planners will make a decision in November.
