PLANS FOR NURSING HOME AT ST MARY'S COLLEGE IN THE CITY

St. Mary's College in the city is about to expand into the community living sector.Plans have been submitted to the City Council to build a 2-storey, 60 bed nursing home and community day care centre at the campus on St. Mary's road.St. Mary's Secondary school in the city is run by Galway Diocesan Trust, which owns the site at St. Mary's Road.The Trustees are hoping to enter into a Diocesan - Private partnership to build a 60 bed nursing home and day care centre on campus.The plans also include 5 single storey independent living units at the college, which is a protected structure.
