An application for an extension of time to complete the contruction of 70 houses in Oranhill, Oranmore has been granted.

County planners have made a decision to extend the permission period which will now cease on the 22nd November 2015.

The decision was made subject to two conditions which include that the developer lodge a bond with Galway County Council to ensure the satisfactory completion of the development.

The application from Dun Eallin Construction Company Limited stated that the completion of the development was prevented due to 'lack of demand or market for new houses'.
