A decision on the future of a new building for a post-primary school in Claregalway has been pushed back.

The Minister for Education has applied for permission for the 350-pupil temporary school at Lakeview.

A decision was expected last week, but that date has been revised until June.

The National Roads Authority has already raised concerns about traffic safety at the location and wants a review of speed limits there.

Galway Bay fm news reports a request was made by the architects for an extension to the deadline for a decision and planners have granted the extension, pushing it back to June 10th.
