PLAN TO FACILITATE THOUSANDS OF TOURISTS AT DOCKS

A plan to install new pontoons at Galway Docks has been submitted to the City Council.

It's to facilitate the transfer of 6 thousand tourists into the city from cruise ships over the coming months.

10 cruise liners are due to dock in Galway Bay between May and September.

The first one, the 'Arion', is due to anchor in the harbour on May 21st followed a few days later by the 'Prince Albert ll'.
