PETITION TO REOPEN TUAM TO ATHENRY RAIL LINK

A petition will be sent to Minister for Transport, Noel Dempsey, calling for the proposed Tuam to Athenry rail link to go ahead.There are fears that cutbacks recommended by An Bord Snip Nua will impact on the outcome of the route.Tuam Town Council members will collect signatures for the petition at the Town Hall and outside O'Toole's Super Valu and Tuam Shopping Centre from 12 noon to 4 pm on Saturday.
