The indecent assault trial of Tuam man Paul O'Grady has been transferred to Dublin. Lawyers for Paul O'Grady of Dublin Road, Tuam yesterday successfully applied to have his trial transferred to Dublin Circuit Criminal Court because his name was made public by the court coverage of his hearing in Galway in November. 62 year old Paul O'Grady had been remanded on continuing bail to appear before Galway Circuit Criminal court today to fix a date for trial. Defence barrister Conall McCarthy told Judge Raymond Groarke yesterday that his client was identified in the media coverage of his hearing at Galway District Court on November 26thHe argued the pre-trial publicity would prejudice a fair and unbiased trial in Galway.
