OUGHTERARD COMMUNITY SHOCKED AT SUDDEN DEATH OF LOCAL MAN

The community in Oughterard is in shock this morning following the death of a local man in 'suspicious' circumstances.
The body of teacher and part-time publican, John Kenny was discovered by a family member at Kenny's Bar on Main Street around 6 o' clock last evening.
It's understood he was bound with his hands tied behind his back.
His body remains at the scene and a Garda crime scene investigation unit is carrying out a forensic examination.
The State Pathologist, Dr. Marie Cassidy is due to arrive at the scene shortly and a post mortem examination will be carried out.
