OCCUPY GALWAY TO STAGE PROTEST AT CITY HALL

The Occupy Galway movement has confirmed that it is to stage a protest at City Hall this afternoon in advance of the local authority meeting.

The movement is calling on the public to attend the protest, which is before this evening's council meeting, to demand their right to local democracy.

Occupy Galway claims that local goverment ignores the voices of the people of Galway in favour of a corrupt system which benefits only the wealthiest.

Cllr Mike Crowe is rejecting their claims the council has no interest in improving the lives of the citizens of Galway.
