OCCUPY GALWAY COULD BECOME OCCUPY NAMA

The Occupy Galway demonstrators could move from Eyre Square soon, if similar protests in other cities are anything to go by.

That's according to Councillor Billy Cameron, who made the comment at a meeting of the City Council last night.

City Manager, Joe O' Neill said the Council intends to meet with Gardaí again this week about the camp which was set up in Eyre Square last October.

He told councillors that their preference is that the Gardaí would use their "discretionary" power to move the protestors on.

However, seeking an injunction is another possibility.
