OBJECTIONS TO PROPOSED WIND TURBINE AT NUIG CENTRE IN CARNA
Date Published: 25-Aug-2010
Three submissions have been lodged with Galway County Council against a proposal to erect a wind turbine at the NUIG Atmospheric Research Centre in Carna.
NUIG says that the wind turbine is needed because the electricity supply in the area is not reliable.
However concerns have been raised locally about noise levels from the proposed turbine at Mace Head.
