O CUIV SAYS HE PAYS A SIGNIFICANT PRICE FOR TREATY STANCE

Galway West TD Éamon Ó Cuív says he has paid a significant price for his view on the European Fiscal treaty but says he firmly believes it should be reviewed.
This comes as the TD is urging the electorate to reject the European Fiscal Treaty - despite the Fianna Fail party calling for a yes vote.
He has been making the headlines over the last week by suggesting that Fianna Fáil and Sinn Féin should be coalition partners.
Earlier this year he relinquished the role of deputy party leader because of his stance on the treaty.
Deputy O'Cuiv says the treaty is causing a big debate within the Fianna Fail party.
Party leader Micheál Martin says Mr O'Cuiv has already lost his role of deputy leader and front bench position on the issue and no further action will be taken.
Tanaiste Eamon Gilmore says he takes Fianna Fail's support very seriously but is unsurprised by the Galway TD's different view.
