NURSING HOMES UMBRELLA GROUP HOSTS MAJOR MEETING IN CLAREGALWAY

Over a hundred delegates from the private nursing home sector are gathering in Claregalway tomorrow to discuss the challenges facing them into the future. It's one of the first public events to be hosted by the newly-formed umbrella organisation for the sector, Nursing Homes Ireland. Private nursing home owners and nursing staff in Galway will hear from key HSE professionals and other experts about meeting new nursing home standards, empowering residents and elder abuse initiatives. Nursing Homes Ireland facilitator Caroline Connelly says forging links with the HSE helps provide a seamless service for nursing home residents.
