NUIG PRESIDENT WARNS OF POOR SYSTEMS IN PUBLIC SECTOR

The President of NUI Galway is warning that poor systems within the civil service and the public sector will hamper the change needed to bring us out of recession.

Dr James Browne was speaking at the launch of a new report on Leadership in the Irish Civil Service.

The report is the culmination of a two year research project carried out by the NUIG Centre for Innovation and Structural Change.

Over 140 public sector senior managers participated in the study, from 12 Government Departments.
